At Lily & Me, we are committed to ethical business practices and take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.
We recognise our responsibility to prevent any form of forced labour within our supply chains and business operations.
Our Commitment
Born from our founder, Amelia's love of travel, colour and creativity; embracing life's adventures and love for all that is home and family. From the outset, Lily & Me sought to do business the right way. To produce ethical, responsible product at affordable prices without compromising on ntegrity.
We are proud to manufacture 80% of the collection in our own factory in Nepal where we have full control over employment practices, production, supply chain and logistics. Our factory is known as a Tier One producer in the supply chain.
Here we are dedicated to ensuring that slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking have no place in our business. We actively work to uphold human rights and fair labour practices across all areas of our operations.
Due to the specialism involved, our knitwear, socks and artisan felt friends are manufactured outside of our own factory. This accounts for 20% of our product range per annum.
Supply Chain Tiers
Tier 1
Our own factory in Nepal and the factories we work with directly to make our beautiful knitwear, socks and felt accessories
Tier 2
The fabric mills, printers and laundering units
Tier 3
The spinners and ginners who clean and spin the yarn
Tier 4
The farms or factories that produce the raw material
Supplier Due Diligence
We carefully select our Tier 1 partners (currently our knitwear, socks and accessories suppliers) and require them to comply with all applicable labour laws and ethical standards. We pride ourselves on our collaborative relationships with our suppliers and aim to build long term partnerships.
Due to the unique position of owning our factory, we are able to work directly with our Tier 2 suppliers when manufacturing the bulk of our collection. The fabric mills, printers and laundering units who supply our factory are selected directly by us.
We are committed to ensuring labour rights are respected throughout our supply chain and the supplier agreements we have in place include strict anti-slavery clauses. We work together to maintain good ethical practices and conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance.
Employee Awareness & Training
We educate our employees about modern slavery risks and train them to recognise and report any concerns. We encourage a culture of transparency and accountability throughout our organisation.
Continuous Improvement
We are committed to continuously reviewing and strengthening our policies and procedures. We work with industry partners and organisations to stay informed about best practices and legal requirements.
